Christine spent 6 years in Texas's foster care system

Christina Tyler entered foster care with her siblings shortly after her family faced unstable housing, and remained in the system until she aged out at eighteen years old. While in foster care, she moved to six different foster homes because of the abuse and neglect riddled in the system.

Despite the barriers she faced, Christina was able to enroll in an early college high school and obtain an Associate's degree two weeks before her high school graduation. Christina is now attending Texas A&M University of Corpus Christi, majoring in Bachelor's in Business Management and Administration. She hopes to pursue her Master's in Business Administration as well her Doctorate in Leadership. She hopes to shed light on the experiences of foster youth in Texas so that all foster youth can thrive. Christina is goal oriented, diligent, independent, and strives for success.
