5 years in care

Chloe Janik is a Peer Navigator from El Paso, Texas. She spent six
years in foster care in Oregon and Indiana, which shaped her
interest in supporting and connecting with other young people
who have been in care. Through her role at FosterClub, she hopes
to help youth feel understood, supported, and more confident
navigating their futures.
Before becoming a Peer Navigator, Chloe worked on political
campaigns and gained experience working in the medical field.
She also served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic. She currently
attends The University of Texas at El Paso, where she studies
Political Science and Communication. She plans to continue
working in public service and advocacy in the future.
Outside of school and work, Chloe enjoys reading mythology
books, playing video games like Tomodachi Life and Pokémon, and
spending time with her six cats. She enjoys learning new things
and connecting with others through shared interests and
experiences. Chloe hopes her story can help other youth in care
feel less alone and remind them that their experiences do not
define what they are capable of accomplishing.
