The Bronx, New York
Hi! I’m Bianca Bennett-Scott. I work as an Operations Coordinator in The Bronx, New York. I love hitting the gym, taking photos, and public speaking. You might be surprised to learn that I’m not a risk-taker in my personal life—heights and roller coasters terrify me!
My motivation for working at FosterClub stems from my own experiences in foster care. During my senior year of high school, I attended a leadership academy, which sparked my desire to understand my life’s purpose and focus on improving systems for my community, particularly in addressing racial bias. I take pride in my work when I can connect people to valuable resources or build meaningful personal connections. At FosterClub, I aim to better understand the inner workings of a nonprofit that prioritizes lived experiences, so I can help other organizations adopt these transformative frameworks.
Bianca graduated from SUNY Broome Community College with an A.S. in Business Administration, Florida Memorial University with a B.A. in Law and Government, and Cornell University with a Master of Public Administration. Before joining FosterClub, she served as a Program Manager and Senior Advocate at You Gotta Believe. Her other notable achievements include being a Lived Experience Leader at FosterClub and a past member of The National Foster Youth and Alumni Policy Council.
