Yerimar is a dedicated advocate for foster youth, shaped by her journey through eight placements in California’s foster care system. Currently working for a nonprofit that supports young adults aging out of care, she collaborates with Los Angeles officials to drive policy changes related to foster care and homelessness. A passionate artist, Yerimar expresses her experiences through paintings and digital art, emphasizing the importance of self-expression. With plans to pursue a bachelor's and master's degree, she aims to become a social worker or resource coordinator, advocating for better resources and support for underserved communities while inspiring others through her story.
