Tasheona spent 2+ years in the State of Missouri’s foster care system.

Tasheona was placed in care with her older brother when she was 16 years old, and remained with him until she began college.

In school, she was part of Career Community Leaders of America (CCLA) and volunteered by helping children and families receive food. She was also in GEMS, an all-girls group with discussions about life and helping other women. Now, she is part of the American Association of University of Women (AAUW), a non-profit organization that advances equity for women and girls through advocacy and research.

In her free time, she enjoys watching Netflix, cooking, baking for her family, attending college classes, online shopping, and spending time with her family.

Tasheona’s educational goals are to earn her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and work with children. She hopes to eventually travel and see the world, specifically France, Greece, Italy, and Japan.
