Suelly Barros Pires, Age 18 Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Suelly Barros Pires was born in Portugal and now lives in RI. She joined SPEAK, the youth advisory board in Rhode Island. After learning why advocating is so important, Suelly realized she needed to come out of her shell to make change for her people to be heard. Suelly is currently working towards her psychology bachelor degree. She’s not sure what career she wants to study but is enjoying the exploration process. In her spare time, you are sure to find Suelly jamming to music. Music is life to her. In her words, “it totally brings me back to earth”.
