Steven Parker entered foster care in North Carolina at the age of 13. He lived in three different placements until being adopted by his final foster family. Steven is currently a high school senior and will graduate this June. He is active in the ROTC program at his school where he currently holds the rank of Captain. Steven plans to attend community college locally before transferring to East Carolina University to study criminal justice or education. Steven will serve in the Army following college and will continue his service to others as a teacher or police officer following discharge from the military. Steven is a leader among his peers and an advocate for children in foster care. He has bravely shared his personal story with local social service professionals, promoting positive change within his community.
