Stephanie was placed into Kentucky's foster care system at the age of 14 after a troubled past that included truancy. Although there was much healing to do from her experience with her birth family, Stephanie eventually learned to embrace the second chance and her new foster family . With their support, she became more active in school and extracurricular activities. Stephanie now attends the University of Kentucky, studying Hospitality Management and Tourism. While in college she made friends with a mentor who helped obtain her drivers license and purchase a car. Stephanie is a cook, a sister, a nature lover… and a foster kid.
