Beth was placed into foster care at the age of 3. She has been in seven different placements, and is now living in a therapeutic foster home. “Out of all the homes I have been in, I love the current one the most.” Beth feels that her greatest challenge was having to change homes. “New people, new places, and new things. I was scared. I had to relearn the rules because I was in a different home, I had to adapt really quickly to my new home.” Beth was able to adapt to her surroundings with every change, and was somehow able to keep her head up. “I had to suck it in and push forward with my life. I was very determined to make it.” Beth has volunteered at a local hospital, assisting the nurses in whatever way she can. As a member of her high school Key Club Beth went out into the community and helped local organizations. “In my spare time I enjoy scrap-booking. This is a major part of me. I love to savor every moment in my lifetime and put them in my scrapbook. So when I look back, I can see how far I have traveled in life and remember the people that had an impact in my life.”
