Rory Love I 18 years old I She/Her/Hers
3 years in Oregon’s foster care system
Rory is an advocate from Albany, Oregon, who’s all about helping people and causes. She’s a punk scene enthusiast who loves hanging out with her loved ones and her fur babies. At just 17, she snagged her first apartment all on her own!
Spending three years in Oregon’s foster care system showed Rory how tough it can be. That’s why she’s so passionate about being a voice for youth in similar situations. As a Peer Navigator, she’s dedicated to making sure young people know they’re not alone and have hope for the future.
Currently working on her GED at CSC, Rory has already achieved a lot. She was part of "Backbone," a group advocating for homeless youth, and helped secure a $3.9 million grant for important projects like "Church In The Park." She also supports "Punx With Purpose," a non-profit run by her mom that hosts the free event "Punx In The Park," offering resources like clothes, food, and live music to youth. Her efforts helped establish youth shelters in Polk County and Salem.
Through her work at FosterClub, Rory continues to fight for change, ensuring every young person feels seen and supported. Her journey and determination make her a true advocate for the next generation.
