Rimy Morris, 10 years in Indiana’s foster care system, She/Her/Hers

Rimy Morris is a writer, publisher, and social impact entrepreneur committed to equity, storytelling, and community care. She is the founder of The Collective, an organization dedicated to creating equitable curriculum, resources, and learning experiences for individuals impacted by the child welfare system.
With years of experience in advocacy, education, and community engagement, Rimy has partnered with public agencies, nonprofits, and youth-led movements to co-create learning experiences that inspire change. Her work bridges equity and access by blending storytelling, curriculum design, and systems thinking to reimagine how families can thrive.

Driven by her own and her family's lived experience in the child welfare system, Rimy approaches her work with both compassion and urgency. She believes meaningful change requires both personal reflection and institutional accountability and strives to bring those into balance through every project The Collective undertakes.

These same values, along with a lifelong love of writing, led Rimy to found Rambling Writers Publishing, a publishing company dedicated to building legacies of literature. Across all of her work, Rimy centers healing, truth, and the power of lived experience to help create more equitable systems and stronger communities.
