Nichole entered the foster care system at the age of 17 shortly after her biological parents separated. Her younger biological sister stayed with her mother, and her biological brother stayed with her father. Nichole was lucky to be placed with very loving and supportive foster parents. She still has a close relationship with them. Not all foster kids are this lucky. Nichole decided she wanted to make a positive impact on the world after aging out of care. She is currently a junior in college, and aspires to become a doctor. She volunteers with the Independent Living Program as well as the Aspire program. She enjoys helping others, hanging out with friends, keeping active and always keeping positive. Nichole hopes to always motivate, mentor and make a positive impact for foster kids and, eventually, in the medical profession.
