Naomi spent 8 years in Oregon's foster care system.

Naomi has been in and out of care for 8 years. Currently, she is training for a managerial position at her job. Naomi enjoys connecting with her community; she has volunteered for Relay for Life, Cat Adoption Team, and Helping Hands Food Bank. For her senior project last year, she planned and implemented a clothes drive for her local foster closet since they had a severe shortage of clothes for teens. At the end of the clothes drive, she received and was able to donate over 5 bags full of shoes and clothes. Currently, Naomi attends Clackamas Community College and hopes to become a social worker where she can expand her perspective. When asked why she gives back, Naomi said she wants to make lemonade out of lemons because it's sweeter.

Quote: "I want to make the world a better place by giving future children in care the care and support that I never got."
