Nine years in California’s foster care system did not stop Monisha. She is currently enrolled at the City College of San Francisco with a 4.0 GPA studying public policy and child development. Monisha hopes to own her own agency serving young parents in foster care. She is serving time on the San Francisco ISLP Advisory Board and heavily involved in her community. She spends time going to jails speaking to social workers, teachers, therapist, incarcerated parents and at-risk teens. In addition, she has been volunteered with AmeriCorps serving low-income communities in schools, agencies and clinics.
