Miguel entered foster care at the age of 14, he has had 7 placements mostly of which were foster homes and congregate care. Some of the challenges he experienced were due to the instability of placements and school.
Currently, Miguel is apart of the Youth Advisory Council - a team of young people advocating for foster youth on a state level. He is also apart of a program called Reach 360 where they provide youth support and life skills. In Miguel's free time he enjoys playing video games with his friends.
In the fall, Miguel will be attending Salt Lake Community College, where he hopes to attain a BA degree.
Miguel is a selfless leader who is very passionate about creating change within the foster care system.
