Mazie spent six years in foster care from ages 11 to 17, facing many challenges that shaped her resilience. Now, she is pursuing her Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer at Blue Mountain Community College while working in the library. Passionate about ecology and sociology, Mazie looks forward to transferring to Oregon State University. Active in her community, she supports the LGBTQ+ community through the GSA club and enjoys indoor gardening and observing microorganisms in her free time.
