Marcys Tutoatasi spent 6 years in Arizona's foster care system.

Marcus was placed into care as soon as he was born. He was adopted, but it didn't go as planned. Separated from his sibling, Marcus experienced homelessness at the age of 15. After staying with friends, Marcus was able to secure housing and attend college. In the summer of 2016, he graduated with his Associate's degree. Now, he is studying Criminal Justice at the University of Arizona and is planning to join the football team. Marcus volunteers at the Chandler Food Bank and the Humane Society of Southern Arizona Thrift Store and the Newman center on campus. He sees every day as a new opportunity for him to make a difference in the community by the way he carries himself and providing help when needed. His goals are to earn the Academics PAC 12 honors as well as Newcomer of the Year on the football team. He plans to attend graduate school and get an internship with a law firm. He dreams about helping others in need and guiding other youth to become leaders as well.
