Marcus Brown spent 5 years in foster care.

Brief Biography:
During care Marcus was in 2 placements. He was fortunate to be adopted by a loving, supportive family that has now adopted 17 other siblings and raised an additional 6 biological children - one big happy family. Marcus feels grateful to be able to spend his entire foster care experience in the same placement as his siblings. He helped found the HOPE (Helping Other People for Everything) youth board and served as its president for 5 years. Marcus is the 2009 Governor's Service Award Youth Volunteer of the Year for the State of Michigan and the 2010 FosterClub AllStar - Michigan.

Future aspirations:
Marcus is currently attending Delta College, pursuing a Bachelors degree in Social work. Marcus would like to become a foster parent and plans on adopting later in his life. Marcus would like to have the opportunity to work with young adults and would like to start a group home for boys.
