Manaweea is a former foster youth who has faced significant challenges that have shaped their identity and resolve. Growing up in kinship care from 2007 to 2017, they witnessed firsthand how environment can impact lives. Their passion for advocacy led them to intern with Holly J. Mitchell's office and join the Long Beach Advisory Council, where they work to create positive change for youth. Collaborating with nonprofits like The Right Way Foundation and Stepping Forward LA, Manaweea strives to break societal barriers and inspire others to pursue their dreams, fostering hope and empowerment for those facing adversity.
