Kortnee Walker is a 24-year-old resident of Scappoose, Oregon, who spent over a decade in the Oregon foster care system. She graduated from Portland State University with a degree in criminology and family development.

Kortnee’s personal experience in foster care has strongly shaped her commitment to advocating for the rights and well-being of foster youth. She is passionate about creating meaningful change within her community by building supportive networks for young people.

For the past two years, Kortnee has been working with the ILP program at D1 in Columbia County, where she supports youth in building life skills and accessing resources. In addition to her direct work, she has been developing her skills in grant writing and is currently preparing to apply for master’s programs to further her impact in the field.

With her educational background, professional experience, and dedication, Kortnee aims to use both her knowledge and lived experience to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
