Katrina, 19 years old, spent 8+ years in the State of Alaska’s foster care system.

 

Katrina is currently in care and has experienced over 50 different placements. Despite many changes in school and living situations, She graduated from high school and earned her driver’s permit. 

 

She currently interns for the Fair View Rec, volunteers at the food bank of Alaska, and helps with her Independent Living class. She is working toward earning her driver’s license and buying her own car. In the future, Katrina hopes to attend college and study business and photography.
