Katlynne Molina

She/Her/Hers

19 Years Old

California Foster System

Kathlynne experienced four different placements and is now attending Cal Polytechnic University Pomona as a full time student.

As a foster child, Kathlynne has been in and out of the Children’s Courthouse many times. Throughout her experience with the numerous family lawyers appointed to her, she has grown an interest in experiencing what it would be like to be on the other side of the chair- the attorney’s position. In order to become a family attorney, she must earn a 4-year undergraduate degree and then complete a juris doctor, J.D, degree. The education Kathlynne will be receiving at Cal Poly Pomona as a Finance, Real Estate, and Law major will help her complete the first phase in advancing towards practicing family law.

By working towards this field of family law, she will be able to empower, advocate, motivate, connect, and encourage resilience while challenging stereotypes and avoid fallacies. She will also have the opportunity to be a voice for those who are incapable of advocating for themselves. Ultimately, making this world a better place one person at a time.

Despite the fact that this path will take her longer than other careers, she has determined that every minute she spends will be dedicated to a good cause and a brighter future. Hopefully, people in the future will be inspired by her achievements and realize that they, too, can do great things, regardless of their background or circumstances. And, as Tony Robbins has said, “The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment.”
