Earning her high school diploma early, Jazmin is already nearly done with her first year of college at Cabrillo College, a community college in California. She is majoring in Childhood Development and plans to earn a Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate to become a preschool teacher. Jazmin enjoys sports – she played soccer and track in high school – and also knits as a hobby. In line with her career aspirations, Jazmin regularly volunteers at a daycare center. Currently, Jazmin is a participant in the Youth Advocacy Project (YAP) within the Independent Living Program (ILP) and is practicing her debating, leadership, research, and writing skills.
