Jasmine was been in foster care since she was 4 months old. She lived in a couple of foster homes until she moved in with her grandparents at age 5. Jasmine lived with her grandparents until leaving for college last fall. Jasmine enjoys volunteering in her community through her church and college, Dillard University. She says about her volunteer efforts, "As the years went by, I learned that caring for others was a big part of my life. I love to help someone else in need and while I help others, I also learn more about myself." Jasmine is currently studying nursing, and would like to be an E.R. nurse before possibly going back to school to get her Masters degree in Nursing.
