Israel Moncada was placed in the California child welfare system when he was 1-month-old. He was in 11 placements before transitioning into Independent Living. Israel experienced living in foster homes and congregate care. After graduating and delivering a graduation speech, Israel attended a post-secondary education institution to pursue Sociology, with a focus in Social Services. With an uplifted attitude on life, Israel dedicates time to volunteer and works with different organizations that cater to the needs of youth and children. Israel aspires to get a masters in social work followed by an LCSW. Israel is the Sacramento Foster youth senior ambassador while also finishing the hiring process to work at the state as a student assistant. In addition, Israel hopes to go on to attend law school and potentially become a legislator or possibly president one day.
