Fariha Rahman is a dedicated advocate for youth in foster care and currently serves as President of SPEAKOUT, Virginia’s youth advisory board. Since joining in 2020, she has played a pivotal role in restructuring board initiatives and directly influencing policies at the Virginia Department of Social Services. Fariha’s leadership helped launch seven new initiatives aimed at increasing youth success rates. She is also a LEx Leader with Thriving Families, Safer Children, contributing to a $6 million grant project for underprivileged communities. Currently finishing her community college education, Fariha is passionate about promoting STEM opportunities for youth in foster care.
