Elyzabeth entered foster care at 14, experiencing two placements before aging out at 18. Despite challenges, they excelled academically, graduating with honors. In December 2023, Elyzabeth earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Education, and is now pursuing a teaching career to support students with special needs. They serve on the Youth Advisory Board for the Reproductive Health Equity Project and work as a substitute teacher. Elyzabeth aims to become an Education Policy Analyst to ensure equitable resources for all youth and plans to develop a nonprofit to provide essential skills for foster youth.
