Diamond Richardson is a Peer Navigator from Portland, Oregon.
She spent ten years in foster care in Oregon. Which shaped her
interest in sharing her experiences to advocate for others.
Through her role at FosterClub, she hopes to help young people
feel supported, heard, and advocate for themselves and their
needs.
Before becoming a Peer Navigator, she spent time on a youth-led
advisory board and facilitated workshops for teens in care.
She currently attends Portland Community College, where she
studies Family & Human Services. She plans to continue working
with youth in care and advocacy in the future. She also recently
became a certified Youth Peer Support Specialist and plans on
using that to continue to support under privileged youth,
Outside of school and work, Diamond enjoys beach days with her
children, spending time with her sisters, crocheting, and reading.
Diamond hopes that she can continue supporting and advocating
for youth in care and sharing her story to support others.
