Deedee is currently serving as the Secretary for the Oregon Foster Youth Connection. Through the Oregon Foster Youth Connection (link is external) (OFYC), Deedee has been able to work with State Senators on drafting a bill that would provide all foster youth with specific driving rights. She was also instrumental in organizing and implementing a statewide drive for duffel bags that were stuffed with care items and then provided to foster youth. Deedee has experiences over 15 placements since being in the foster care system at the age of 18 months old. She is currently still in care, utilizing supports to attend college.
