Daniel works in the Performance Management & Accountability Division for the City of Philadelphia’s Department of Human Services (link is external) to implement and evaluate engagement and assessment strategies associated with the county’s Title IV-E Waiver Child Welfare Demonstration Project. He also serves as a member of the Field Center for Policy, Practice & Research’s Young Professional Council. (link is external) Additionally, Dan is responsible for GIS mapping projects which portray outcomes and demographic information geographically by Community Umbrella Agency (CUA) Districts.

As a former liaison in DHS’ Educational Support Center, his work also included individual and macro level advocacy for school-aged youth receiving child welfare services. As an advocate for FosterClub, Dan has shared his personal foster care experience with members of Congress, TIME Magazine, child welfare professionals, foster parents, and thousands of young people across the nation to raise public awareness. Formerly, Dan served on the Board of Directors for the National Foster Care Coalition. He holds an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice (SP2), an MS in Education (Elmira College), and a BA in Psychology (SUNY Buffalo)
