Cole spent 3 years in Ohio's foster care system

Before being adopted into his forever family, Cole experienced 3 different foster homes. He was seperated from from some of his siblings in the process. Now, Cole has a beautiful biracial family of 15 siblings that have been adopted internationally. In high school, Cole joined advanced placement classes and was involved with soccer and track. He is currently attending the University of Washington in Seattle studying Political Science. Cole joined the UW Champions program which partners with foster youth within the university community and feels it has been such an amazing resource for him. He participated in the 2016 Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Program where he met with his Congress member to share his experiences. Cole is passionate about maintaining family connections, the experience of LGBTQ youth in foster care and success in higher education.

Currently, Cole is unsure of his exact career path after graduating, but knows that he would like to be able to travel and work with people whether that be in social work or politics.
