Cierra moved in and out of homes, with eight moves total while facing the challenges of the foster care system. Initially entering care at the age of 8, she was able to find her forever home at the age of 16 and was adopted shortly after first meeting her mother. “We met, and my life changed forever. Within three months of our first visit, I had moved in with her, and knew that finally, I had found my forever family.” Cierra was a member of SAYSO (Strong Able Youth Speaking Out) and has had many speaking engagements. These engagements included speaking to foster parents, adoption rallies, training panels, and other events. She also works with an organization called Child Advocates. In addition to public speaking Cierra also enjoys speaking to her friends, spending time at the local mall, dancing in her dorms, cooking, and the art of texting.
