Chaquanna is 20 years old. She is from Chicago, Illinois but has spent 8 years in the Minnesota Foster Care System. Chaquanna's experience in the system has been long and challenging. Being moved around and switched from placement to placement has added onto the already stressful and difficult environment of staying in one for too long. Chaquanna's strengths are that she is a "go getter" and can place a smile on anyone's face. Chaquanna is now in a place in her life where she is trying to figure life out: "How does this thing called life go?" Chaquanna is a lover of teddy bears, a dependable person, and the queen of laughs ... and a foster child.
