Chante spent 11 years in the Maryland’s foster care system

Chante’ is currently attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Her goal is to become a licensed clinical social worker, and entrepreneur. As a Social Work Intern she provides individual treatment therapy to students with emotional and behavioral problems. Chante’ is the founder of a community women's empowerment group. In addition, she assists with the Agape House's feeding the homeless projects, Thanksgiving basket distribution, and Agape Christmas Angels Program. On top of those efforts, she also served on Maryland and Baltimore City’s Youth Advisory Board as vice president. She believes foster youth should advocate for change in foster care because they are the ones being directly affected by the system. In Chante’s free time she enjoys journaling, blogging, singing, dancing, planning and hosting events.
