She/Her

4 years in care

Cailey Martin is a passionate advocate for foster youth, drawing from her own experiences in the system. Entering care at age 13 and separated from her siblings, Cailey faced numerous challenges but found strength in her advocacy role with Voices of the Commonwealth, where she was elected chair. Inspired to create stability for other youth, she is launching a nonprofit called Suitcases of Hope, providing essential items to foster children. Currently living in Tennessee while pursuing her GED, Cailey plans to study social work at Western Kentucky University. Her goal is to be a supportive presence for children and to advocate for sibling connections in foster care.
