“Nicole” was placed in foster care at the age of 6.
She had over 20 placements and eventually aged out of the system. Despite becoming homeless during her senior year of high school, she utilized her permanent connections and personal advocating skills to find stability and graduate.
Nicole was also chosen as a Clara Luper Scholar and plans to begin law school after completing her Bachelor degree at Oklahoma City University. Nicole is a “movement by herself”. She is vibrant, charismatic, and a force for change.
Nicole feels compelled to help youth in care, because she feels it is her personal responsibility to do so.
