Bianca Bennett-Scott is a passionate and authentic advocate for change in child welfare. Having navigated the complexities of the New York State Foster Care system in The Bronx and Harlem for eight nonconsecutive years, Bianca's journey is a testament of fortitude. Bianca has emerged as a fierce advocate driven by her commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable opportunities for children, families, and vulnerable communities. Drawing from her personal experiences and professional expertise, Bianca excels in bridging diverse systems such as child welfare, housing justice, juvenile justice, and education inequality. Her holistic approach involves connecting resources, fostering community outreach, and implementing trauma-informed care strategies. Through advocacy, training, facilitation, and strategic planning, Bianca's work embodies a deep understanding of evidence-based practices and a dedication to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Bianca is a second-year MPA student at Cornell University, with a concentration in Human Rights and Social Justice. She obtained her Associate's Degree in Business Administration from SUNY Broome Community College in 2018 and her Bachelor of Arts in Law and Government from Florida Memorial University in 2021. In addition, Bianca is a member of the National Foster Care Alumni Council, a Young Adult Consultant for the Capacity Building Center for States, and an Advisory Board Member for You Gotta Believe, a New York City older adoption agency. In the future, Bianca aims to continue rehumanizing social programs to promote sustainable and equitable opportunities. She hopes to lead non-profits worldwide, emphasizing lived experience and authentic community engagement to address the intersectionality of socio-economic issues.
