In May of 2010 Aryelle was put into foster care with one (of three) of her older sisters and both of her two little brothers. She went through five different placements over four years including emergency receiving homes, kinship, and APPLA. She is now living on her own in her college town, Corvallis and is in full contact with her biological family. Aryelle is a sophomore at Oregon State University eventually going for her Masters in Secondary Teaching and her Doctorates in Sociology. When she isn’t studying, Aryelle enjoys spending her time volunteering at the Avery House Nature Center creating science-based curriculum for preschool and for youth summer camps. Along with working with kids, her second job is waitressing at OSU Catering. In her free time she likes to draw, paint, play guitar, hike, camp, and go on random adventures with her closest friends. Her future plans and goals include teaching Sociology at a local high school, owning a cattle farm and raising her kids as well as providing a safe home for foster youth to live.
