About WYAC – The Wyoming Youth Advisory Council

At WYAC, we’re all about empowering youth—especially those with experience in foster care. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive space where young people can learn, grow, and succeed.

What We Do:
WYAC is led by current and former foster youth who work with state leaders, agencies, and community members to make real change. We speak up for what matters to us—like better support in school, access to mental health resources, and having a strong sense of community.

Why It Matters:
We make sure foster youth have a voice in important decisions that affect their lives. Whether it’s suggesting new policies or improving programs, we’re here to make the foster care system better for everyone.

How We Help:

  • We organize fun and helpful events and workshops

  • We advocate for changes that support foster youth

  • We build connections so no one feels alone

  • We encourage education, healing, and leadership

WYAC is all about creating positive, lasting change for foster youth in Wyoming—now and for the future.
