Washington: Make it Happen!
About this resource
Make It Happen! is a three-day, two-night college campus experience for youth in and alumni of the Washington state foster care system. The free summer program includes college readiness workshops, resource connection events, and opportunities for strengthening supportive networks. As a result of attending MIH, students will feel more equipped to develop and initiate their post-secondary education plans.
Eligibility
- Any young person recognized as a dependent of Washington State, federal or tribal out of home care, or who has aged out of foster care upon turning 18, and who will graduate from a Washington State high school in 2017, 2018, or 2019.
- GED recipients are welcome.
