New Mexico: Friends of Foster Care Educational Award

About this resource

The New Mexico Friends of Foster Children (NMFFC) awards money annually to young people between ages 17 and 25 who have been in a child welfare system for at least one year in NM and need help with post-GED and post-high school educational expenses. The award is for a maximum of $1,000. The money can be used as needed for expenses related to attending a wide range of schools and training programs.

Eligibility

Have been in the state or Tribal foster care system for at least one year at some time in your life (you are included even if you stayed with members of your family during that time)
