About this resource
DCYF Aftercare Help for School
If you’re a former foster youth, DCYF has money to help you keep going to school after high school or getting your GED.
There are two types of financial help:
-
Educational and Training Voucher (ETV)
-
General Chafee
ETV money can help pay for things like tuition, fees, room and board, books, and child care.
Important: You need to apply for financial aid through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before you apply for the Chafee ETV.
