New Hampshire DCYF Advisory Board
About this resource
The Youth Voices Advisory Board is a group of young people who work together to make things better for youth in foster care. They speak up, share ideas, and help create positive change.
Their mission is to support each other, include everyone, and work with other groups to help youth in care grow and succeed.
What they’ve done so far:
-
Helped create the Tuition Waiver Program for foster and adopted youth
-
Helped write the Bill of Rights for youth in care in NH
-
Host the Youth Voices Summit every year.
How to Get Involved
It’s easy! Just reach out to the adolescent worker in your area or ask your DCYF worker to help you connect.
You can also email Beth Nee, the program coordinator (grab her email in the yellow box on the right!)
New members are always welcome! We want all youth to come to at least one meeting. You don’t have to come again if you don’t want to—but we hope you do! Your voice is super important to making things better.
