Education & Training Voucher (ETV) - Arizona
About this resource
The Education & Training Voucher also known as ETV is federal grant money that is specifically provided to most young people who have experienced foster care and are enrolled in either a community college, a university, and/or a vocational school. An ET Voucher can help pay for classes, books, housing, etc.
Eligibility
- You must be a current or former foster youth who:
- was in U.S. foster care on or after your 16th birthday for ETV (14th for Tuition Waiver), OR
- was adopted from U.S. foster care with the adoption finalized after your 16th birthday for ETV (14th for Tuition Waiver).
- You must be a U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen.
- You must be a resident of Arizona.
- Your personal assets (bank account, car, home, etc.) cannot be over $10,000.
- Has accessed ETV funding less than the 5 year limit (consecutive or intermittent).
- If you are in good standing and progressing towards earning a credential, you remain eligible for funding until your 26th birthday (23rd for Tuition Waiver).
