Arkansas: Youth Advisory Board

About this resource

The Arkansas Youth Advisory Board, or YAB, has been established for the purpose of advocating for youth served by Arkansas’ child welfare system. The YAB is made up of a select group of foster youth from the state of Arkansas, ages 13 - 21, who have united together as a board to help advocate for their fellow foster youth.

The Youth Advisory Board goal is to act as a voice for foster youth in the state of Arkansas and to act as a channel of communication to convey inputs and concerns to help implement change to DCFS policy by making suggestions based on the information we receive.
