School as a Social Work Major

I've always been concerned about the welfare of families and justice to families as well... Before coming into foster care I saw many things.. mainly I saw the lack of resources that were provided to my adult parents by the adult system.. I experienced first hand what it is like to go through hardships becuase of a lack of resources and also bad decisions by my parents

Anyway, I am a social work major.. It isn't a crappy major.. It is very human oriented and person intensive.. It is also very hard . .there are alot of things that are flawed in our organizations as well as government's delivery system. For example the bureacracy, the lack of resources!!! UGHH!!!

A person can be so enflamed by all of the imperfections of a society's welfare services and want to revamp the entire thing.. But having over 300 million inhabitants and a huge geographic land to work with Improving the system is a hard thing.. Its a tough job to be in the US congress, Its a tough job to be in any leadership position..

People in America also seem to have thier own pull yourself by the bootstrap ideology - which isn't bad, but sometimes it just standardizes everything..saying one shoe fits all. but it doesn't

There is only one life and we're living it.. So far , I've been going to school for all my life and taking classes at all times of the day and all days of the week.. I've been sitting in a room with very intersting people as well as quiet people who sometimes look like complacent people .. they are all out to make a systemic change just like me and they're all out to commit to something.

Social well-being is not easy, neither is shutting your own self out and listening to the other person completely.

Next year, I'l graduate.. I hope that I'll be able to find a job... As a matter of fact .. I know that I will be able to.. I just hope that I can make a difference that I've always wanted to make.. I'm taking it day by day.. hour by hour and through and all.. I love my major and look forward to getting things done. once i get out into the real world.. hopefully, I don't get gray hairs by my 40's
