When I found out about Foster Club, I was overwhelmed with curiosity. Ever since I became an All-Star, I have found that I have learned something new and useful about Foster Club and how much it will benefit me as a person as well as an advocate. Prior to the internship, I was shy and soft-spoken. I was nervous about leaving home, however I was confident that I was ready to get out there and share my story to help others benefit in ways that I never did. I came with the expectations of learning about foster care and how to be a good leader. I will leave with the knowledge of those things along with many more. I have so far learned discipline, dedication, and just how important it is to "role with the punches". To be an All-Star means to have compassion and willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed.
