We <3 Social Workers: Celebrating Resources for Social Work Month!

March is Social Work Month; a perfect time to celebrate the dedication of social workers who advocate for youth, families, and communities every day. In recognition of their work, we’re highlighting a key resource to ensure social workers hear directly from young people with lived experience in foster care: FosterClub’s online training courses.
FosterClub’s trainings aren’t just for foster parents—they’re a valuable resource for social workers, too. With youth voices as a core component, these self-paced courses offer insights into trauma-informed care, permanency, LGBTQ2S+ support, and many more important topics. FosterClub’s accessible, practical content can help social workers address real challenges youth and families face. Plus, agencies can access these courses at a discount to support entire teams.
"A lot of the negative parts about foster care get blamed on social workers, and I think it’s really unfair. They’re treated like clerks—every time I’d see my social worker, she’d have 4 grocery bags filled with paperwork. If she has to see 40 people in a week, often an hour apart, think about how much time she’s spending on the road. She has to remember every case, drive to homes, check on everyone, take notes, file them, and make sure they get to the judge and her supervisor. I don’t blame her. We need to get social workers in a place where they can actually help, because so many of them care so much.” - FosterClub Lived Experience Leader Alex Ballantyne
Social workers are champions of hope, healing, and connection. They navigate complex systems to support families in need. During Social Work Month, let’s celebrate their commitment by connecting them with tools to help them succeed and improve outcomes for children and families at every stage of care.

Thank you, social workers, for all that you do! <3
