There's Still a Chance - Pandemic Relief for Foster Youth

Image

Hello Friends,

Last week (September 30th) was the deadline for Congress to extend support for foster youth before many of the Supporting Foster Youth & Families Through the Pandemic Act provisions expired.

Unfortunately, bipartisan HR 5167 was not included in what Congress passed.

Even so, we do have hope; we know Congress is listening to foster youth. Representative Danny Davis (IL-07) and Representative Jackie Walorski (IN-02) communicated their support for foster youth and that they are working towards a bipartisan solution to extend this relief.

All of your emails, calls, posts and messages have made a difference!

There's still a chance for Congress to pass an extension, let your Members of Congress know that foster youth need support!  The links to email are below.

If you or someone you know is still in need of assistance - check out the Resources compiled on fosterclub.com/resources. You can also email [email protected].

With hope,

Celeste Bodner

Executive Director
