Governor Mike Beebe Signs a Bill to Help People in Foster Care!!!

VICTORY FOR ARKANSAS!!!

Today Governor Mike Beebe signed Senate Bill 359. This isn't any bill - it's entitled "An Act To Create The Arkansas Foster Youth Transitional Plan" This bill say's that, by law, foster children entering care at or by the age of 17 must partake in a transitional plan that THEY get to make out with guidance from case workers and ILP coordinators with in 90 days.

There is also a lot more to the bill but OUR VOICE HAS BEEN HEARD!!

Your Arkansas Youth Advisory Board (Y.A.B) was invited to the capital to witness this historical event. YAB got pictures with Governor Mike Beebe and some awesome pins that the Governor used to sign the bill, there were several signatures required.
